On Saturday September 27th Minneapolis natives Caroline Smith and Lizzo took to the First Avenue main room to play a sold out show. Playing their second day in a row at one of Minneapolis’s most iconic venues was a great way to accommodate the interest in the duo. Starting off the night was a DJ set from Twast from Grrrl Prty.
Caroline and Lizzos performance started off with the single ‘Let ‘Em Say’. I think it can go without saying the crowd was more than ecstatic at this point in the night. The night continued with solo acts done by both artists as well as a performance along side the rest of Grrrl Prty. Its hard to say when the next time these two beloved local artists will be preforming together again but I have no doubt that crowds will be lining up for more.
