I’m photographing on tour with Twin Cities based band, Molly’s Worst Enemy for three days this weekend. Last night was day one and we made the trip to Ames, Iowa to play a show at The Muffin Top.
Ben Ashcraft performed some spoken word as Ben Kanobi. Cliff Diving, Peer Pressure, and Internet Dating opened for Molly’s, three very talented bands that started off the show with good energy. Cliff Diving had a super fun pop-punk sound, Peer Pressure performed a bit of a contrasting set being more a hardcore band. Ben Ashcraft is one of the most talented men out there and Internet Dating’s twinklecore stole the show.
Molly’s Worst Enemy started with Incubus off their new CD Innerlakken.
And in good ol’ Molly’s fashion, the floor was their stage.
Their set was lengthy, yet it didn’t feel so. I was super surprised how many fans they had in Ames, that knew their lyrics. I was under the impression that they really only held their “core” fans in the Twin Cities. So to see how many fans they had in Iowa was crazy, and a super pleasant surprise!
