Last night, Bluestem Outdoor Amphitheater in Moorhead, Minnesota hosted one of its very first sold out shows for rock giants Breaking Benjamin. To know that a band who first found fame over 13 years ago can still sell out huge venues and top charts with a new album is a killer testament to their ever-growing, ever-faithful fanbase. The audience was filled with listeners who have stood by the band for years and new fans alike.

Lead singer, Benjamin Burnley, recently did an interview with Rolling Stone where he discussed his strange illness that’s left him in “constant agony” with “severe joint and muscle pain”, and explained that it’s those symptoms that made him call off a 2009 tour early and the reason Breaking Benjamin hasn’t been able to tour again until very recently. Seeing him perform the way he did while dealing with this illness was frankly incredible- his energy and showmanship was top notch.

The band played songs spanning their entire line of albums as well as covering Tool, Nirvana, and Pantera. Quite kickass-ly, too, if I say so myself.
