September 9th at the Myth Nightclub in Maplewood, Riley Downs and myself attended the Rise Against show with supporting acts Radkey, and Touche Amore.

Now I had never heard of Radkey, but the same for any opening band, I figured I’d use their set to prep for the other 2 acts. Well surprise surprise, Radkey fucking killed it!

The band consists of 3 brothers. Dee on guitar/ vocals, Isaiah on bass/ vocals, and Solomon on the drums. These guys were high-energy show stopping beasts. I have never seen a crowd react this way to an opener, seriously. Clapping along to 4 songs out of the set, a VERY decent sized mosh pit, and just genuinely losing their mind for these guys.

The last song Dee and Isaiah were punching each other while strumming the hell out of their instruments, too fucking awesome!!!

Now we have an article coming up for Touche Amore so I won’t say much, but bottom line is they did not disappoint!

Onto the main event! Rise Against kept the lights low until each member was on stage, then exploded open with ‘Roof tops!’ Moshing began immediately, and bodies started surfing over the railing. The energy from this set was so amazing , not a soul was standing still!

Tim Mcllarth jumped down into the crowd for the 2nd song to give the fans a chance to sing and to say hello!

Rise Against continued to rock the crowd all the way through their set, including an acoustic version of ‘Swing Life Away’ and 2 others. The crowd cheered their hearts out, getting the band to come out for an encore of ‘Savior’ which finally rounded out the night!

All in all, Rise Against proved once again why they have been selling out venues for over a decade! Make sure you check out the rest of the dates to see when they will be playing in your town and check out the rest of the photos below!
