Mod Sun came through Minneapolis last night on the ‘Look Up Tour.’ This is Mod Sun’s first headlining tour and last night was his first sold out show, promoting his first full length album, and where was the show? You guessed it, First Avenue.
We got to hear from Dillon Cooper, Blackbear, Karizma, and the ever dope DJ Gnash.
During one of DJ Gnash’s sets he played a bit of Kanye’s new song ‘All Day,’ which features Minnesota’s latest rising star Allan Kingdom. During that song fans got an awesome appearance from Allan himself and Mod Sun, who came out to dance and vibe with the crowd for a minute.
Blackbear had a really dope set. No lights for the first couple songs, but fans lit him up with their phones (thanks guys!) and later got back on stage to lend a hand to Mod Sun and another special guest.
Then the Birthday boy finally showed up!
He kicked things off with ‘Howling at the Moon’ and a bottle of wine.
Mod grabbed a Ganja lay from the crowd and got inspired to blaze up on stage!
And then, one of the biggest highlights of the night. Machine Gun Kelly joined the stage and the crowd went absolutely nuts! The energy between those two made me feel like I was seeing MY friend!
MGK hung out on stage for the remainder of the show, straight chillin.
The night ended with a Happy Birthday song, Mod Son talking about his former band mate’s new born daughter, and an appearance by his wonderful mother. All in all, this was the best show I have ever seen at First Avenue.
