I got the chance to take promos and do a little interview with the two front men of Empty My Lungs,

Bryant Beckermann and Andy Pritchard. Bryant and Andy both have a lot of experience in music: writing,

composing, and performing. Empty My Lungs has recently released the official line up of the band. After

months and months of writing, traveling, recording and strategically planning, it’s almost time for their

upcoming LP to be released. Which will be in early 2015. Keep your eyes AND ears open for these

gentlemen. They and their music will most likely rock your socks off.

Me:

You two have been friends for a really long time. What is it like to be in a band together now?

Andy:

Like building a house with your brothers.

Bryant:

It’s just something we have known was going to happen eventually. Creatively, we connect really well so

this works out perfectly.

Andy:

When you come together to create something with someone you’ve known for so long and so closely,

that reflects in the music. And in the process of finding our sound.

Bryant:

It actually came together even better than we expected

Me:

Well that’s a relief.

What are the future plans for the band? Music wise, and performing wise, what can the fans out there

that have been anticipating your music, expect?

Andy:

They can expect us to carefully plan each release in the coming months. They can expect a music video

and something special for every song. We plan to do it right and present something worthy of your time.

Me:

Do you have any future upcoming shows in the next few months?

Bryant:

We are currently waiting for our drummer to heal from his surgery. Once he’s all healed up we’ll be

good to go

Me:

Your music, each individual song’s lyrics have a lot of meaning in them, Where do you get the inspiration

for your lyrics? Do you write your songs together or do you write your individual parts separately?

Bryant:

We come up with a general theme for each song and then write our parts seperately. Gives it a more

open ended feel so people can take their own interpretation of it

Andy:

Once we got a good pre pro together and had a solid track to build off of, we designated parts and used

lyrics that we had been building over the past year. Found similar themes in each other’s words and re

wrote them to be the perfect blend of our words and voices together.

Me:

For those unaware, you record through THE Johnny Franck. How is that? Andy, I know that your other

band, We Are The Blog!, has recorded both of the EPs that band has released, with Johnny. Are you guys

both equally satisfied with the way the music has turned out?

Bryant:

MORE than happy! I am completely in love with everything he has done with us

Andy:

Each time I go back and work with Johnny, I feel like I personally grow as a person and that time away

gives me a sort of reflection I don’t get to have in my day to day life. I always figure something new out

and Johnny never stops amazing me every step of the way. I’ve watched him grow as well, and that

makes me feel like I’m a part of something big.

Bryant:

He definitely helped me find my voice and grow as a vocalist as well.

Me:

So I gotta pull a “Bryan Stars” and ask.. If you were a porn star, what would your name be?

I actually am quite curious. Hahaha.

Andy:

Mine would be “Bryan Stars”. I think that has a ring to it.

Me:

Hahaha. What if Bryan Stars is really Bryan Stars’s porn star name?

Plot twist.

Andy:

Then he owes me royalties, cuz low key I’m a porn star named Bryan Stars

Bryant:

I’m not sure… Ha actually my porn star name could just be “plot twist”

Me:

Hahahahahahaha!

Andy:

I approve!

Me:

Well, I think I have everything I need. Thanks guys.

Andy:

Anytime!
